Useless

This app is absolutely useless. I used it for about 2 years and it worked great, but I paused my pact for awhile, and then when I tried to use it, it would just freeze my entire phone. Now when I open it, it crashes immediately before I can even login. Ive tried deleting and reinstalling and it still just crashes. It doesnt even look like theres been an update in almost a year. Disappointing.

does not record workouts!!

I was super pumped about starting pact. That only lasted about two days. Pact doesnt record my workouts. After doing cardio for 35 minutes the motion tracker only shows 3 minutes of activity. It makes total sense. They make money when you miss workouts not when you complete them. After a week with pact i already have 2 open cases and today once again my workout wasnt recorded. Im doing P90x3. I work out 6 to 7 days a week. And its been hard for me to get 4 workouts recorded a week. I just ordered a fitbit so it can sync with pact. I really like the concept of the app but i dont like feeling cheated. It really pisses me off after a good workout with my shirt drenched in sweat, to see the app only recorded 4 minutes of me jumping around my living room when i actually did it for 30

PACT Keeps Me Motivated!

I have NEVER missed a workout in more than a year and I continually up my fitness goals and fruit/veggie goals with PACT.

Amazing app but its need little more

Amazing app and it have agood roles and its encourage exercising and fitness

Do I have to even give a star?

The worst app. Im in the gym and they cant "find" my work out. I add a gym, it counts for 2 days then they take the activity away. I talk to them more than my mother. Dont get this app.

Trash

Waste of energy and time. A lot of errors! Hate this app

Not worth it

Interesting concept but not well executed at all. The rewards are minuscule compared to the charges for missing. I got charged a few times when I shouldn’t have and never received any response from the company. Really really irritating. No customer service. Bad app.

Horrible

Hasnt worked for me at all. Plus very hard to understand. Not intuitive. Seems deliberately complicated. Doesnt work with Apple Watch.

Concept Works/Exceptional Cust Care

This is an amazing app that taps into the simple concept of "rewards vs punishment". Everyone laughs when I explain the concept to them but it truly makes sense. You sign up for it as a motivator to be consistent & ever since Ive joined, Ive only paid twice. (Which was so my fault!) It will irritate you if youre not consistent or as disciplined but thats the whole point of the app, right? Someone asked what if you just sit at the gym for 30 min? To which I responded, if you signed up for this then theres some level of commitment from you. So if you were already at the gym, I bet you my earning for the month that you would prolly already work out instead of sitting there trying to cheat the system. Customer care is excellent. Ive had issues with my Fitbit not syncing or having no signal during a major activity. Just take pictures regularly so you have evidences in case these things occur. I dont even care about what I make. I just like being motivated in this way. Lol If you signed up for this to make money, you might as well drive for Lyft or Uber. This is just a fun way to get your butt active & be accountable in an interesting way. Just like how we would get in trouble when we were younger. ;)

Dont use unless you have $ to throw away

The concept of the app is great but unfortunately technology does not work so youll be paying!!! The fitness apps would not connect so over 3 hours and 15 miles ran were not counted towards my pact. When I told them the issue they said sorry youll just have to track activity other ways... Im a runner ... Map my run is the only app I use to track it and the only reason I signed up for pact because it is listed as a compatible app. So my first week using pact I lost $40. $40 is a lot as a single mother living paycheck to paycheck who actually did above and beyond the pact I signed up. Again I signed up for incentive to earn $ because I need it yet I was robbed $ I dont have when I actually did the work... Dont use this app!!! Join a local weight loss challenge if you dont have $ to throw around like this app thinks we do

Great little app

If youre motivated by money, this a good way to keep yourself going to the gym. I dont mind that the pay-out is small compared to the pay- in... The point is to avoid missing days, not to make money. Ill definitely keep using this app!

Dont Bother!!

There are many other ways to workout. Go to something else. This is just a rip off and not worth your time. If you miss a workout, the punishment is severe and if you do get it all in. The pay out is no way near what you would expect. Just stick with working out with much better apps.

Needs Apple Watch integration

Ive used this app for a while now, but I am pausing my pact and will not use it again until it gets integrated with Apple Watch. If I choose to forgo checking into the gym, and instead use the motion tracker, the app only reads the motion from my phone and not my watch. That makes the app obsolete, if you ask me!

(Not) customer service

I was a strong supporter of this app for over half a year. Not anymore. Then one Saturday night my phone broke, I couldnt get my phone repaired until the next week, I wasnt able to complete my pact and was charged $60 from pact essentially for breaking my phone. When I repeatedly requested my money returned they gave me credit for one of my other pacts for that week my phone broke, which resulted in me getting $.42! Insulting!

Great! Bad reviewers dont understand

This app is a hugely powerful motivation tool for me. Ive had a few technical glitches but the customer support team always manages to fix it promptly and keep me from getting penalized. You will never MAKE much money from this, they divide up the money from people who paid a penalty amongst those who hit their goal, so expect 0.25-0.75 cents a week. But the point is the threat of a financial penalty if you miss.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD

I have been using MapMyFitness and MapMyRun to track my daily walks (which normally would count as fulfilling my pact). The Pact app would not allow me to connect to either of my fitness apps, so therefore I filed a complaint and I received a notification saying I would not be charged for the incomplete pact while I had a claim open. I never received an email from the Pact customer service team trying to correct my issue AND I WAS CHARGED $15 AT THE END OF THE WEEK! For a problem on their end. This is ridiculous. Only download if you want to get scammed out of your money.

Do not give them your credit card number

I deleted the app and finish the rest of the week as suggested and they keep withdrawing money from my account! They do not respond to your emails either. Do not get this app!

Glitchy with Terrible Customer Service

I downloaded this app at the beginning of the year because I saw it had been reviewed by the Times and other reputable magazines. I am so disappointed. The app is incredibly glitchy; I couldnt get it to sync properly with my Fitbit app, and half of the time it wouldnt show how many steps I had or how much I had made/owed while I was complying with my pact. I ended up deleting my account within the first two weeks. Several months later, I notice a recurring payment of $25 thats been posting weekly in my bank account. Somehow, even though I had read the instructions for deletion and closed my account according to that, it had remained open and they have been charging me every week. After trying to contact customer service and receiving no response, I reported these charges to my bank. This app and the customer service that come with it are terrible. They have no phone number set up, only an email address that they apparently do not respond to. I highly recommend that you DO NOT download this app.

Love this!
