Pact: Earn Cash for Exercise and Healthy Living App Reviews

Ive been using this app for a long time now and love it but I took a break about 4 months ago and ever since Ive started it back up Ive had trouble loading my pictures. I have to close the app 5 or 6 times before my photo will show up that its been submitted. The. It gives me a message Ive uploaded the maximum amount of photos for one day. When in reality Im trying to upload the same photo because it doesnt submit correctly. It takes forever to find my location when Im at the gym to start and end a workout. It freezes all the time when Im trying to vote on other users veggie pacts. I have contacted the app developers about this and I was told they knew the app was freezing for some Apple users and there should be a update the next week. Well next week came and went and Im still having trouble.

This whole idea is great, but you literally have to pay the app no matter what. I tried to delete my account after realizing what a scam this was but you cant even delete it on the app. And they still charge you no matter what. So basically although the cost is "free" it charges you at least 5 dollars. Not worth the effort do not install

Terrible Product that Tricks People out of Money

I have had this app for three days and I am already fed up with it. The first two days of my workout did not count for some reason, and the app told me it was because I completed them on the same day (even though the app itself recorded them on different dates). I sent a message to customer service, explaining to them the problem I was having and that this was not true. They said the same thing, that workouts cannot be completed on the same day even though they werent!! I am so infuriated with this app, and now I will end up having to pay money for the workouts I completed. If I could give them no stars, I would.

This app sounds great when you first hear you can make money for working out and motivate yourself to workout so you dont lose money. Where it all falls apart is after that. The app itself is primitive. It still uses the old iOS keyboard. It only syncs with a few partner apps and more often than no that doesnt even work. Hey claim more are coming soon but thats been the case for almost a year. It also does not sync with Apples integrated step counting through the health app or the Apple Watch. You do have the ability to report discrepancies with the app, but I find myself doing this way too often. Pact app could use some major upgrades.

I used to love this app. I hadnt used it in a while, but now Ive tried to use it and all it does is freeze up and crash. Ridiculous!!!! Ugh rather Annoying!!

Good concept but app has too many issues. Gym check-ins are hot or miss. Also, if you dont end the workout before you leave the gym, the workout wont count towards pact. Again, too many issues.

As someone who has used this app for 2 years, I can say that it was a great app. Now its good. I have successfully earned over $300 with this app and use it daily. There is one significant problem, since August/early Sept. the veggie/fruit portion of the app no longer works for a majority of iOS users. I have contacted support about it several times, but I always hear the same thing "please check the new/updated section of the App Store for improvements". Its been 4 month. So now I earn 1/2 of what I used to because their update broke their app and they are incapable of fixing it. Which is why it was great and now is good. I am definitely not please with how they have managed this problem and considering that its one of their 3 ways to earn money, I would think that they would resolve the issue as quickly as possible when 1/3 of their app is broken.

So Ive now completed my week and for a whole week of logging food and for 4 days of workouts I earned 1.92 which is extremely small to the 5 per day I was betting which is literally the smallest I could go. I feel like the pay out is so small to go through the extra hoops they require, especially for the gym pact, just save the hassle. In a month if I dont change my pacts I will make 5 dollars...which yea its 5 I didnt have but let me miss a day and all my hard work for a month is gone. That seems pointless and not enough of an incentive. I make more than that on the random questions I answer for polls and that requires no effort.

I love this app and it really has helped me keep track of my healthy habits of food logging, workouts, and fruit/veggie servings. I love everything about it with the exception of the bug with the veggie pact. I have to attempt to upload a photo, close out the app, reopen it, then upload the same photo again just to have it count towards my pact. It also states that I have uploaded more than my maximum 5 photos, but in reality I only uploaded 3. I havent been charged for these issues because Ive learned to work around it but it is still annoying. Please fix this!

The app just doesnt work anymore. I was a long-time user. But Ive tried several times over the last few months to get something going and I cant ever track an at home/motion work out. It wont stop freezing. Ive even emailed tech-support in the past, and they just said check back again in a couple months to see if theres a new version. Just seems like they dont care about the app anymore.

I strongly recommend you do not use this app. It is full of glitches, and unfortunately in this case a glitch could mean losing real money because of your pact. The photo upload for submitting a veggie pact has been broken since late summer. They are aware of the issue but still have not fixed it. Whoever is in charge of running this app/company clearly is extremely sloppy or simply doesnt care about the quality of their product.

Just on the few interactions with customers care Ive had, they get 5 stars. The app itself is great, a few kinks still to work out here and there, but add in the wonderful team that you contact with issues and it should be the standard for all customer experiences. Thanks guys and gals.

i registered in for 3 log ins of vegetables/fruits Per Day, and i input them to the best of my ability. either the app itself didnt register that i input them, as it is Buggy as Hell, or nobody voted for them to count as vegetables. you take that 3 log ins per day and take it a week and now im suddenly paying the company $75. the concept is amazing but if there was actually a way to know if what i put in actually registered or not that would be amazing as id rather not lose another massive batch of money to this app. either way, its a gamble and youre better off rewarding yourself for being healthy than letting this app run you out of your money.

I deleted the app and forgot about it. A month passes by and they take $35 out of my paypal under a "Donation".

First of all, really shouldve done my research before signing up for this app. They better not charge me. I run at least 30 minutes daily and somehow it doesnt register? If I could give 0 stars I would. I contacted them and they couldnt even do me the courtesy of answering my simple questions. Instead, they very incompetently gave me the same computerized answer to EVERY question! So not worth it, its a scam.

I have used gympact for almost 2 years. It has its quirky moments but it helps keep me motivated!

Its been weeks and I havent gotten a dime for completing the pacts! Deleting this app for good.

Ive been using this for almost three years and love it! No issues at all until this week...I now suddenly have THIRTY active gym pacts and NINE veggie pacts simultaneously. Can these be removed? The veggie pacts are all paused, but i dont want to be charged for the gym pacts not being completed, as my gym checkins are only posting to some of them.

The app wouldnt sync with MapMyFitness, so I couldnt get credit for my workouts. Emailed customer support three times and never heard back. I had to completely close out my PayPal account to keep from being charged! What a ripoff!
