Customer Service Lacking
I had originally joined Pact because I thought the concept was interesting. I signed up for 5 veggies a day and gym 6x per week. During that week I successfully completed both of my pacts and patiently awaited my reward. Once it was calculated, it came to a whopping $2. I decided to instead use dietbet. Then the problems with Pact began. When attempting to close your account it tells you in the FAQ to go to a specific site outside the app. Unfortunately for me, on the site it shows that my Pact account is already closed. My only option is to submit a question to them under the category Other Minor Issue I did so asking them to remove my account and payment info several days ago and have not yet received a response. I sent them another message this evening under the category comments/suggestions but Im not very confident they will see that either if they have yet to respond to what they clearly deem a minor issue (as that is the only option). Needless to say, if I do not hear from them in the next few days, I will be contacting my credit card company. Its amazing that an app this popular doesnt make it easier for a user to stop using their service. Seems like a money grab to me.
